Digital Printmaking: The Traditional Approach INSTRUCTOR: Bob Korn This is the workshop for those who are working to make the transition from the traditional wet darkroom to the new digital darkroom. Participants will learn how to make fine art prints as a printmaker, not a technician. We will use digital technologies in ways that are an extension of the traditional darkroom, not the computer. The workshop will concentrate on Color Printmaking using Adobe Photoshop to correct for exposure and color, just as f-stops, time and color filters do in the darkroom. Along with printing, we will cover such topics as color management, scanning, toning of B&W images and more. Students will use the latest in equipment, but will learn how to adapt all of these techniques to whatever they may use on their own. We will learn how to see and think about color in a way that takes your vision and translates it to paper.
