By it's very nature, the B&W photographic process reinterprets the visual world and allows creative photographers a highly personal "voice."
Dan Jones will begin this week by introducing participants to the art and technique of B&W landscape photography; the concept and practice of pre-visualization and the choices that are still available to contemporary photographers using traditional methods.
Through a series of field trips and exercises, students will make informed decisions about film choice, lens selection and exposure techniques as they apply specifically to landscape photography.
In mid-week, Dan will bring participants into the darkroom for "hands on" printing of new work. This is a great opportunity for students to see their work through to the final print stage.
